Biophilia presents photographs of natural elements that we know and often surround us on our daily lives, such as shells, seeds, bones or flowers. The images have titles that recall the essence of being human, recreating a tense interlude between man and these nearly forgotten and often ignored fragments of nature.

Through this relationship they assume a dimension that is at the same time tragic and humble in its simplicity. Biophilia is a poem to biodiversity. The black and white photographs are individually split-toned with selenium, creating a subtle crimson shade, a hint of dawn or dusk. Each image represents a line of the poem, a meditation on its subject and its potential to become a mirror of our being.
